The site on which the Mater Private Hospital – Redland stands has strong spritual and cultural links with its original owners, Aboriginal tribes who roamed throughout the Bayside are in ancient times. Of special significance to all who make use of the services of Nelli’s Place is that it seeks to honour and perpetuate the name of the only Aborigine known to have been born on this site.
